BURN RESTORE
Acid Burn Repair System for Glazed Brick
Description and Use:
Burn Restore is a special product that creates a residual non hazardous breathable barrier on the surface that is capable of long term repair of the damage. This product is not corrosive and is water based and can be removed with a pressure washer or by rinsing with a garden hose and scrubbing immediately after application. After it cures rain water will generally not affect it and it will be bonded to the surface permanently. Burn Restore has no effect on the unburned masonry surfaces next to the burned areas so it very easy to apply. This product was designed to be used on glazed brick with smooth faces that burn and get white readily from hydrofluoric acid products. It may or may not work on the bleached burning that comes on porous masonry surfaces from using hydrofluoric acids too strong. This product has no effect on glass and will not cure acid burn on that surface. This system has proven effective at hiding burn, where it has been used for almost two decades, and shows no sign of failing in long term application.
Advantages:
* Non corrosive.
* Has no effect on unburned masonry.
Limitations:
*May not work on bleached burning on porous masonry stemming from strong HF acids too strong.
