How Much Glass Can SafeRestore Restore?
The Sky...line’s the Limit
From ground level to the tallest of high rise structures, SafeRestore is effective at removing water hardness, mineral stains, sealer overspray, paint wash, caulk bleed, concrete leaching, environmental and atmospheric pollution, and biological stains from glass.
As with any cleaning job, special circumstances may exist. Many problems do not become apparent until the job is underway.
--Damaged glass: Surface imperfections are there to stay and cannot be fixed by chemical cleaning. In fact, pitting, wear marks and etching may become more obvious (as a haze) when the detergent removes any sealer used to hide the damage.
--Sealers and Coatings: For jobs requiring sealer or coating removal, we recommend a thorough rinsing with a pressure washer to remove both the detergent and sealer/coating it breaks down. If not rinsed properly, a haze of unremoved residue may be left on the surface of the glass.
--Prior chemical applications: It is difficult to determine beforehand if glass has been previously treated or cleaned with another product. Testing should be performed on more than one area of the glass. We have seen examples of buildings tested in only one area and later discover that particular pane or section has problems found no where else on the building, such as a panel of glass installed backwards or a failed piece of glass. In each case glass on the rest of the building restored successfully.
--TEST...TEST...TEST: Always test product in a small, inconspicuous area before beginning entire job. This will enable you to determine dilutions and dwell time.
--Follow instructions: Rinse thoroughly. Do not allow SafeRestore to dry on a surface.
