Water Based Degreaser

Description and Use

Purple Plus BC will remove heavy grease, oil buildup, and stains from heavy equipment, rolling stock and concrete. Purple Plus BC is designed to remove most soils from paint without brushing. Purple Plus BC can be applied at high dilutions through a pressure washer. The solution works well with hot or cold water. When used with hot water, Purple Plus BC cleans the pressure washer coils as it works. With a good rinse, Purple Plus BC leaves no film or water spots on glass.

Preparation

Surface And Air Temperatures
Excessively high or low temperatures will produce poor results and possible harm. Best cleaning results are obtained when air and surface temperatures are 40° Fahrenheit or above. Do not clean when temperatures are below freezing or will be overnight. If freezing conditions exist, allow adequate time for surface to thaw. If air temperatures exceed 90° Fahrenheit, flash cool the surface with water before applying product. Do not allow products to dry on the surface. Always rinse thoroughly while still wet.

Pre-Testing
Always test prior to beginning full-scale cleaning operations. Testing should confirm cleaning effectiveness on each type of surface and stain designated to be removed. Testing also determines the desired dwell time and any potential for adverse reactions with adjacent materials. Allow test panels to dry thoroughly before evaluating final appearance and results.

Dilutions
First cut at 4:1 to make product ready to use, then follow the dilution range listed below. Apply using a pressure washer up or down stream or a low pressure spray applicator.

- 15:1 to 30:1 for degreasing trucks and heavy equipment
- 20:1 to 50:1 for brushless truck washing
- 100:1 for cleaning with brush

Note: Dilutions will vary based on the severity of the stain and type of surface

Optional oil stain removal from concrete:
- 1:1 applied to the worst areas
- 20:1 for removing shadows

Application

General Application

Dilute for the situation. The product can be applied with high or low pressure, betweeni. Let the material dwell for five minutes. Do not let dry. Always rinse while wet. Craftsmanship determines the appropriate pressures for rinsing. A thorough rinse job is always recommended, however, our chemistry never requires flooding a wall. Pressures that mark or damage the surface should be avoided. When in doubt, follow the manufacturers recommended P.S.I. for the substrate on which you are working.
