Preparation

Surface and Air Temperatures
Excessively high or low temperatures will produce poor results and possible harm. Best cleaning results are obtained when air and surface temperatures are 40° F or above. Do not clean when temperatures are below freezing or will be overnight. If freezing conditions exist, allow adequate time for surface to thaw. If air temperatures exceed 90° F, flash cool the surface with water before applying product. Do not allow product to dry on a hot surface.

Pre-Testing
Always test prior to beginning full-scale cleaning operations. Testing should confirm cleaning effectiveness on each type of surface and stain designated to be removed. Testing also determines the desired dwell time and any potential for adverse reactions with adjacent materials. Allow test panels to dry thoroughly before evaluating final appearance and results.

Dilutions
- 10:1dilution for a difficult clean
- 10:1 - 30:1 dilution for routine maintenance
- Undiluted - 4:1 for extreme salt build-up test

Testing is recommended for the strength needed for the situation before cleaning.

Suitable Substrates
Aluminum, stainless steel (non-coated), fiberglass, rubber, painted surfaces, concrete and masonry substrates.

Application

General Application
When cleaning frames, undercarriages, aluminum, painted surfaces and wiring harness areas, the product is best applied using a pressure washer. Apply the product to the surface twice, without rinsing between applications. Leave on for at least a five minute dwell time per application. Do not exceed 120º F when applying product. It is recommended not to let product dry on the surface. Remove with a hot or cold high pressure rinse. Hot rinse is recommended. Craftsmanship determines the appropriate pressures for rinsing. A thorough rinse job is always recommended, however, our chemistry never requires flooding a wall. Pressures that mark or damage the surface should be avoided. When in doubt, follow the manufacturers recommended P.S.I. for the substrate on which you are working. Two step application is an effective application method for quick release of stains, neutralizing the product and a brighter surface. Apply the ConSalt Remover let dwell for five minutes then apply Truck Wash Supreme SC. (Truck Wash Supreme SC Dilution ranges are listed in the Product Data and Specification sheet.)
